When we are no longer able to change a situation- we are challenged to change ourselves.
Victor E. Frankl
I am an integrative psychotherapist and have worked with a multitude of ages, ethnicities and concerns. I understand psychotherapy as a process whereby, together, we can look at your life and relationships in order to gain a better understanding of who you are.
Sometimes we feel overwhelmed by the experiences we have had and psychotherapy allows us to understand the events that have led us to feel unsettled and gain new insights into why or how ones life has evolved as it has.
COVID SUPPORT FOR FAMILIES, CHILDREN & SCHOOLS
The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the world and has changed family dynamics and the way that schools run. Life as we know it has changed and this can be disconcerting and upsetting for adults and children alike.
With society trying to get back to normal starting with schools, many parents are fearful and nervous to get their children back into education. I have been working on a document with child psychotherapist Saskia Joss to help parents, children, staff and whole schools prioritise mental health and even take a trauma-informed approach.
The document offers a step-by-step, jargon-free approach to parenting, children’s mental health and setting up a school that runs with mental health at the forefront. The document is free and can be used in any home or educational setting worldwide. The aim of this document is to make this transition period manageable and limit the fallout of the collective trauma of this global crisis.
Please feel free to contact me or Saskia:
We are available to help families, consult with schools, offer lesson plans and provide online therapy sessions for children and adults in school or at home.
